How to become a Christian
The bible states in the book of Hebrews 9:27a the following:
“It is appointed for men to die once”

Well, this is a fact.  We all owe a death.
In the book of Ecclesiastes 3:11a we read:
“He has put eternity in their hearts”

Man, from birth, throughout his entire life, subconsciously is searching for immortality.  The reason for this is, as
it is stated above in the bible.  God has placed eternity in our hearts.  There is a small room within our hearts
that is longing for eternal life.  However, we have been thought by society to fill that room with social status,
career, fame, fortune, sexual pleasure, food indulgence and desire to have more and more, bigger and better.
These things give a false sense of happiness/security.  You see, the Creator Himself is the only one that can fill
that place in our hearts.  Once a person fills that space with God, worldly accomplishments and desires, move to
a second or third place in our life.  Then, we become free to enjoy life more abundantly, because our eternity is
secured and immortality fulfilled.  Let’s see how this is possible.

If you were to die tonight, and you present yourself at the gates of Heaven, and God asks you
“Hey Emanuel, why should I let you in?”

What would your answer be?

Take a moment and see what would you seriously answer.

…?

My hope, my prayer and heart desire, is that at the end of this page, God would illumine your mind and heart, to
see His truth and decide to accept His free gift of eternal life.

Now let’s begin our search.  I ask you please in the name of Jesus to strip yourself of all worldly knowledge and
humble yourself like a little child.  Picture yourself as a child and your mommy and daddy is sharing this
important fact with you.  Your worldly knowledge, college degrees etc. will not help you here. 1Corinthians 3:19a
states:
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God”

1Corinthians 1:21
“For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the
foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.”

Matthew 18:3
“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the
kingdom of heaven.”

A child (3-5yrs old) does not have any preconceived ideas and arguments.  A child simply believes what his
father has to say.  He places complete trust and faith in his father or mother.  A parent always wants best and
knows best for their little child and by no means would want to hurt them.  So, it is with God.
Psalm 100:3
“Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the
sheep of His pasture.”

He is our Father, and we are to accept Him and His Words with faith like a little child.

Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is
a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Okay then, so I need faith.  Lets see what the bible says, what faith is.
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Example:  You are at home alone, with the doors locked and with no one in sight.  Would you believe me, if I
were to tell you that with you in the room are many people, bands playing music etc?  Most likely, you would say
that is not true, because you cannot verify it with your physical senses.  However, if you were to turn on the
television you would see live TV, and if you turned your radio on, live music or news broadcast would be
playing.  The person, the music is always there but without the proper device to tune in to the transmission you
would have never known that they exist.  The FM, satellite waves penetrate through the walls, doors etc.  We
cannot see these waves but they exist.  So it is with spiritual world.  It is here present with us but without the
proper device we are not aware of its existence.  The bible, the Word of God is that device.  Reading the bible
and putting into practice what it teaches you, will make you aware of the unseen.   As you give your life to Jesus,
you will be born again and with the new spirit created within you, you will be able to tune in and communicate
with our Creator.
This is faith. You know it is there.
People say, “I do not have faith”. Really?  Lets think about it.  What would happen to a human being if he did not
have faith?  Would he be able to exist?
We practice faith all day long. (I have faith that my house is still where I left it this morning.  I have faith that I will
be able to drive my car, I have faith that I will get my paycheck Friday etc?) The thing is, that many place their
faith in the wrong things.  Things that are seen are temporary but the unseen is forever.
2 Corinthians 4:18b
“For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

My dearest friend, you do have faith.  I encourage you to think wisely and identify where you have placed your
faith.  Is it placed on things that are seen?

Lets move on.
The Bible.  Is it okay to place your faith in the bible?
2Peter 1:20-21
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the
will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

2Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division
of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

In the beginning…
Genesis 1:26-27
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the
fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[a] the earth and over every creeping thing
that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and
female He created them.”

“Let Us make man in Our image.”  God made us in His own image.  God is using the word “Us” and “Our”
image.  What does God look like?  Did He possibly take a mirror, looked at Himself and then made man like
Him?  This is what I believe happened.
God is a Trinity.
1 John 5:7
“For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are
one.”
Come back soon.  We are under construction.
